Haiti

Haiti is still struggling to recover from the 2010 earthquake and the massive cholera epidemic that followed. In 2013 we cared for some 6,400 cholera patients, distributed home disinfection kits, chlorinated hundreds of thousands of litres of water and educated communities about how to prevent cholera. MSF provides emergency obstetric and neonatal care in the obstetric hospital in Port-au-Prince and aims to decrease the maternal mortality rate.
