MSF is working in the Autonomous Republic of Karakalpakstan to improve the quality of and access to care for drug-resistant and drug-sensitive tuberculosis patients. MSF advocates and provides new approaches to diagnostics and treatment, effective infection control measures and a comprehensive patient support programme. We work for a decentralized approach and for ambulatory care from day one. Additionally, in 2013 MSF started an HIV/AIDS programme in the capital Tashkent.
